Folks,
As many of you have heard, the state is exploring the implementation of the PARCC assessment. This year, students in other schools within the district will be taking PARCC, but at the high school our students will still be taking MCAS. The Class of 2018, our current freshmen class, will still need to pass the MCAS in order to receive a diploma from BHS. In time, even the high school could be implementing PARCC as its competency determination exam, so parents should begin to educate themselves on the topic.
