Recognition for Braintree's Athletic Director

On March 25th, our own Athletic Director, Mike Denise, will be honored by the Massachusetts Secondary Schools Athletic Directors Association (MSSADA) with the prestigious President's Award of Merit. This award is given annually to the candidate who has made "significant contributions within the field of athletic administration at the local and state levels." Most Braintree residents are aware of the tremendous successes of our athletic teams both on and off the venues of competition. What perhaps is less understood is the level of effort, commitment, and competence necessary for all of these squads to be in a position to meet with such success. Mr. Denise quietly ensures that all of the logistics and planning that accompany winning programs is present for all of our student-athletes. He also works diligently to retain the high-level of integrity and personal standards in our athletic programs that the town of Braintree deserves and, rightfully, demands. This recognition for Mr. Denise is well-deserved and we pause a moment to congratulate him on this honor.

SEPAC Community Inclusion Awards!

Isn’t it wonderful when everyone is included?
Tell Us!
7th Annual Community Inclusion Awards
Seeking Nominations

Members of our community who help to include everyone in any part of our community will be honored at the 7th Annual Community Inclusion Awards and we need your help to tell us about them. If you know someone in Braintree, whether they are a community member, parent, student, coach, employer, teacher or anyone you know who includes everyone, especially those with different abilities or challenges in any aspect of our community, please consider nominating them for this award. The recipients of this award will be honored on June 10th at a celebratory event at Braintree Town Hall hosted by Mayor Joseph C. Sullivan.

True inclusion means that ALL community members are actively participating in town wide opportunities alongside their typical peers. Including everyone creates a sense of belonging because all people have regular access to their community and produces an atmosphere that values acceptance, diversity and the wellbeing of all.
